![]() No fumbling with the mouse trying to tune frequencies or set altitude or vertical speed. It really does take some time and reading to understand how to get the most out of it.Ī very clever fellow named Al came up with a set of scripts (called Lua scripts) that allow you to enter COM and NAV freqencies, autopilot settings (altitude, VS and heading), set the squawk code and turn the OBS card / HSI pointer just by punching in the numbers directly from a keyboard that has a number pad. Learned some tricks along the way and took the time to understand compound button programming (allows me to use the three modes which allows every button to have three different functions). It took me a while to really start to get into all of the features - I originally got it because of the Saitek yoke 'phantom keystroke' problem that happened if you use their software (supposedly fixed now but I have heard mixed reviews). I think it is worth the ~ $40 for the licensed version.
